Vet (part-time)

If you're a vet, looking forward to brighter days and exciting new career opportunities – in a welcoming, 5-star Google-reviewed practice – where you can prioritise clinical excellence, teamwork and work-life balance, we have a role for you.

Because of steady growth, we’re looking for a veterinary surgeon to join us at our modern, purpose-built independent practice that prides itself on providing high-quality care while building genuine relationships with our clients and their pets.

Why we’re hiring

We’re growing, and we’d like another vet who wants to be part of a positive, collaborative team and grow with us.

What working here is like

We’re a friendly, small-animal practice with a supportive team who enjoys working together, discussing cases, learning from each other, and occasionally sharing cake in the staff room.

Consults are properly timed, and colleagues help each other. We practise thoughtful veterinary medicine.

What we offer

  • 2–3 days per week: Working days between Monday, Thursday & Friday (8:30am–6:30pm)

  • 1 in 4 Saturdays (9am–1pm)

  • FTE salary up to £65k (pro rata, depending on experience)

  • 25 days annual leave (pro rata) plus bank holidays and an extra day off for your birthday

  • Pension scheme

  • RCVS and VDS fees paid

  • Generous CPD allowance with paid CPD leave

  • Flexible working options

  • Supportive and friendly team environment

  • No out-of-hours, no on-call, no Sundays and no public holidays

You would enjoy working here if you…

  • Value clinical autonomy, within a supportive and collaborative team

  • Enjoy discussing cases with colleagues

  • Want to continue learning and developing

  • Are confident with dentistry or would like to advance your knowledge

  • Have a passion for consulting, routine surgery and the latest diagnostics including in-house Idexx lab, digital x-ray, dental x-ray, ultrasound, Tonopen and more

  • Value work–life balance

Maybe you’re:

  • A vet who wants a healthier work environment

  • A recent graduate looking for proper mentorship (min. 3 years’ experience)

  • Or an experienced vet ready for a change
